Our Science Learning Journey

to the Science Centre

Dear pupils,

I am sure you have enjoyed yourselves and learnt a lot from this Insect Mysteries!

I have definitely enjoyed myself, especially when I saw you getting so excited examining the little creatures with the microscope.

  1. i have learnt that the honey that we eat comes from the bee's vomit,the moth have hairy feelers and different eyes ranging.

    i enjoyed when we have to see insects from a microscope and from a magnifying glass.

    my question is when the cockroach give birth how many babies will it give birth to and will all of it survive?

  2. i learn that butterflies have many eyes .and some of the eyes are on their wings and i do not know that bees ate the honey and vomit it i thought that the bees put them all in their pouch.i have enjoyed looking at all the insects and touching them.my question is ,if bees put theirhoey in their pouch instead of eating it,will there be enough space to put all the honey in their pouch?

  21. Dear MDM CHEE and MS TAN,I have learned that when the honey bee collets honey and it will put it into its' "pouch" and bring it back to its' hive and vomit it all out that is how the honey is formed.

  22. I learnt that the honey that we eat is bees vomit,that flies or I think is dragonflies have 4000 eyes and the moths have hairy feelers.

    I enjoyed going to the eco graden and going up to the treehouse.

    1:I have learnt that insects have an exoskeleton.
    2:I have learnt that our honey is made of the bees honey.
    3:I have learnt that if we are very quiet, the cricket will make sounds.

    1:I have enjoyed learning about insects with my friend.
    2:I have enjoyed doing the experiments in the lab with my friend too.

  27. i have learnt that cicidas tear there old skin into new skin.the drangonfly have many eyes about 200 eyes.the bee's nectar is the vomit eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwww.i enjoy that the kissing cocrach lays eyes it like pump their eggs.the crcikets rubbing their wings into a song when we are quiet it will it make asong

    Insects outer covering is called the exoskeleton and they have compound eyes.
    I enjoy:
    Doing the experiment in the lab and looking at the different types of new plants in the eco garden.
    1 question I have:
    Is there a name for the baby cockroaches?
